Look out Bored APEs. Here come the squirrels!
Squirrel is an ecosystem of blockchain products with decentralized finance, NFTs and a bunch of other pieces of the puzzle along the roadmap.
Squirrelly Squirrel, a collection of 10,000 NFTs is their first product launch. It’s based on squirrels, squirrelling away cryptocurrencies. All of which plays into the Squirrel Wallet, another product being built out in the ecosystem.
“The animation and the level of artwork is going to be nuts,” declares Earl Flormata, CMO of Squirrel, pun intended.
Ashton Addison spoke with Flormata on the release of their Squirrelly Squirrel NFT collection, the community surrounding Squirrelly Squirrel’s and upcoming whitelist, the #NUTS tokens, and how to get involved.
“What stands out for me is I really enjoy the artwork behind them. The team has really pulled out all the stops to make sure they’re really unique and well put together,” declares Flormata.
The Squirrels are generated from 300 different fun attributes.
They’ve got hats, jackets, costumes, and other fun and crazy little things that make them different. Community members can purchase packs of Squirrelly Squirrel NFTs. The NFT packs are verifiably randomized on the Ethereum blockchain.
There are benefits to holding Squirrelly Squirrels beside just artwork.
Behind the NFT collectability piece is the utility component. Squirrelly Squirrels will provide early supporters access to different opportunities inside the Squirrel ecosystem being built out.
Squirrelly Squirrel holders have full property rights and will be the first to receive NUTS tokens. Staking opportunities for the Squirrels will be real live events with the Squirrel acting as their ticket and a whole host of benefits for the Squirrel roadmap.
The Squirrelly Squirrels concept is similar to Bored APE Yacht Club, which recently got a lot of publicity after Jimmy Fallon hyped his Bored Ape NFTs on The Tonight Show.
Within the Squirrel ecosystem itself is a wallet, an exchange and NFT marketplace being built out. It’s an aggregator and a host of other products that can make transacting in the crypto space easier.

The Nook is main general area of the Squirrel ecosystem. NFT holders will have exclusive access to the Nuthouse where there will be fun community events, and nuggets of wisdom from elder Squirrels.
