BLOCKv Advancing The Future Of NFTs Through Vatoms

With the boom of NFTs, Reeve Collins’ vision is taking flight toward where the crypto space is potentially heading.
Ashton Addison spoke to the CEO and Co-Founder of BLOCKv to discuss their dynamic NFTs, the Vatom Network, partnering with major brands and enterprises, how the Metaverse fits in, VEE coin, and how to get involved.
BLOCKv believes, back in 2015, they were the first platform in the industry to recognize the power of NFTs prior to the term actually being part of the everyday lexicon.
The group coined their own term long before NFTs were popular enough to become the Word of the Year; calling it a Vatom, a “virtual atom”, or a highly programmable digital good.”
Vatoms are scarce digital goods of value that are unique, ownable, redeemable, and tradable across the virtual space.
Take a token which is tradable, and scarce. Then add highly programmable characteristics to it in order to have a very engaging digital object.
“Imagine getting an event ticket. There’s a before, during, and after experience. Today you spend $200 to get a flat PDF [ticket]. Now you buy get that ticket, instead of the PDF you can get a video welcoming you from the artist telling you why they are excited to tour in your city. And then when you show up that ticket will come alive and you can be entered in a draw to move your seat up to a front row seat or after the show you can win back stage and that will update with a video compilation of the show.”
BLOCKv’s platform enables their programmable Vatoms to have a much more engaging experience, beyond the use cases people are used to seeing today.
Collins projects Vatoms will hold their value when all the rest of the use cases open up. Vatom wallets are going to have digital goods, all of which are NFTs. The massive spike in education over blockchains especially in NFTs is driving the upward curve.
“NFTs are going to be a significant part of our lives. They only thing we are going to have in all these different metaverses, is their identity.”
